Job description
Overview

An exciting secondment opportunity has become available for 12 months maternity cover at North Manchester General Hospital. You will jointly lead the Hepatitis Service as part of the North Manchester Infectious Diseases team which forms part of the Infectious Diseases Managed Single Service at MFT. You will be based at North Manchester General Hospital and have a high degree of autonomy, managing your own clinic caseload in both community and hospital settings. You will also have line management responsibility for the Hepatitis team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Jointly lead the Hepatitis Service as part of the North Manchester Infectious Diseases team.
  • Manage own clinic caseload and maintain high standards of patient care.
  • Serve in community and hospital settings, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Provide line management for the Hepatitis team.
  • Support the NHS ambition to reduce hepatitis transmission, contributing to WHO 2030 goals.
  • Assist in increasing diagnosis rates and treatment uptake in line with Public Health England’s strategy.
