What you'll be working
  • Full time hours - 42 hours a week. 1 x night shift.
  • Salary: £30,813.38 per annum
  • 20:00 to 08:15 worked as 36/48 or 42/42 (3x12 & 1x6) over 2 weeks – night shift
  • 25 pence per hour uplift for night hours
  • Experience in care is required
  • Role will be shared between both the House and The Lodge
What you'll be doing
  • Effectively lead the shift by ensuring appropriate staffing levels are maintained at all times.
  • Shift/people management. Addressing staff issues such as timekeeping and attendance in a timely manner.
  • Conducting regular supervisions for staff team
  • Ensure that each service user has a key worker and that all aspects of the key worker role is implemented.
  • Ensure that all service users have up-to-date risk assessments and person-centred plans in place and review and update as required with the service manager.
  • Monitoring performance levels of staff team and identifying areas for improvement on an individual basis.
  • Mentoring staff team to continuously develop their skills.
  • Ensure service users receive support within the framework of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).
  • Ensure petty cash is managed within company guidelines.
  • Ensure medication is administered in accordance with procedures.
  • Deliver on-the-job training and guidance.
  • Oversee the preparation of medical/neurology appointments and letters.
  • Cover all aspects of the support health care assistant role as required to work on the floors to meet service needs.
  • Act as a representative of Active Care Group when liaising with external stakeholders including medical professionals, care managers, families, advocates, therapists, prospective service users, etc.
  • Support referrals activities by attending service user assessments and hosting service visits.
  • Attend and prepare service user reviews.
  • Observe and operate at all times in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures.
  • Be part of the on-call team.
  • Responsible for attending and completing all mandatory training.
  • Undertake any other duties appropriate and as reasonably required to meet the changing needs of the service and ensure service user needs and business objectives are met.
