Job summary

NHS National Services Scotland is seeking a motivated Senior Health Care Support Worker (Band 3) to join the Mid Ross District Nursing Team. You will deliver compassionate care across homes, care settings and in the community, promoting independence and wellbeing.

You will work with registered nurses and the multidisciplinary team to provide person-centred care using clinical and non-clinical skills within a varied caseload. Driving is required for community visits.

Qualifications

  • SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (SCQF Level 7) is essential.
  • Experience in a health or social care setting.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle for community-based work.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Job description

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Senior Health Care Support Worker (Band 3) to join the Mid Ross District Nursing Team. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality care to patients within a variety of settings including their own homes, care homes and within the community Investigation and Treatment Room. Promoting independence and supporting individuals to live well in their community.

Working closely with registered nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in delivering person-centred care across a varied and rewarding caseload, utilising clinical and non-clinical skills.

Essential Requirements
  • SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (SCQF Level 7) – essential (Consideration will not be given to applicants without the relevant qualification)
  • Experience working in a health or social care setting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle for work purposes (due to community nature of the role)
Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in a community or district nursing setting
  • Competence in undertaking venepuncture
  • Knowledge of person-centred care and clinical support tasks

Confidence using digital systems for record-keeping
