A leading healthcare provider in London is seeking a Senior Healthcare Assistant to join their Emergency Department. The role involves providing comprehensive care to patients, monitoring their needs, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Ideal candidates will have NVQ Level 3 qualifications and relevant experience in emergency care. This position offers a competitive salary between £24,937 and £26,598 annually plus benefits.
Our new service,developed in collaboration with Royal Free Hospital, is seeking applicants forthe position of Senior Healthcare Assistant in the Emergency Department.
As a SeniorHealthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensivecare to patients. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and assistingin maintaining patients skin integrity and personal hygiene, conductingnutrition assessments, and attending to their comfort needs to promote rest andsleep.
Your main responsibilities include:

The care and support we provide is highly valued by the people we carefor and their loved ones, but at present we are only reaching around 10% ofdying people at the end of life.Right now, one in four people in the UK with a terminal illness, donot get the care or support they deserve at the end of their lives.
We want a differentsociety than the one we live in now. Our mission for the next five years is toclose the gap in the number of people missing out on what they need at theend-of-life.
You willcollaborate with Marie Curie Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in the emergencydepartment to deliver patient-centred palliative and end-of-life care, ensuringthat care is provided in the preferred setting and support discharge planning.
Furthermore, youwill liaise with community teams to facilitate discharges to patients at their preferredplace of care.
Individualswith a demonstrated commitment to assisting others and relevant experience inhealthcare are encouraged to apply.
JobStructure: Fixed-term contract until early 2027, with possible extension
Workdays: Starts Monday to Friday; includesweekends as the service grows
