The ideal candidate will have Band 2 experience and skills in communication, teamwork, and patient care. Responsibilities include delivering patient care under supervision, maintaining patient records, and supporting the overall healthcare team. The Regional Hyperacute Rehabilitation Unit (RHRU) forms the hub of the North West regional rehabilitation service network and acts as a central focus for research and training of all professions in rehabilitation. RHRU is one of 8 rehabilitation units forming the level 1 specialist services within the NHS London. The Regional Rehabilitation Unit is a growing 24 bed inpatient neurological unit that offers intensive multi‑disciplinary neuro‑rehabilitation to adults with severe and complex cognitive, communicative and physical difficulties. This may be due to traumatic brain injury, CVA or other neurological conditions.
You could be working as part of a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team specialising in Neuro‑Rehabilitation and Hyper‑Acute Neuro care. Providing holistic, patient centred, goal focused rehabilitation to patients with a variety of neurological conditions. We offer the opportunity to work within a specialist team (Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Clinical Psychologist, Speech and Language therapist, Social Services, Dietitian and Rehabilitation Consultant) who are all committed to delivering quality patient care with a strong focus on staff development from clinical supervision including opportunities for training and development of your competencies and knowledge for the post leading to opening to specialise in this area of specialist medicine.
The Health Care Assistant (Band 3) is the second step on the skills escalator of unregistered practitioners. This level of practitioner will have extensive experience at HCA Band 2 with an appreciation and knowledge of the unit procedures, competencies, is able to organise day to day activities/interventions based on agreed allocated work plan.
