Senior Health, Safety & Environmental Manager

Are you a senior HSE professional ready to take the lead in shaping safety, environmental and quality standards across a growing group of construction and support service businesses?

We're looking for a Senior Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to support the Group HSEQT Director in delivering robust management systems, overseeing audits, investigations, and driving continual improvement across multiple sites, offices, and business units.

The role

  • Leading scored audits, inspections, and investigations across construction, drylining, and building supply operations
  • Supporting the development and implementation of HSEQ systems aligned with ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001
  • Contributing to monthly board reporting, ESG strategy, and company-wide objectives
  • Championing behavioural safety and common visual standards across the business
  • Representing the company at client and regulatory meetings
  • Supporting digital transformation via SharePoint/Global Hub improvements
  • Strengthening a positive, proactive safety culture across all levels of the organisation

What we're looking for:

  • Strong background in HSE management within the construction or housebuilding sector
  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or working towards it)
  • Relevant CSCS card and strong working knowledge of UK HSE legislation
  • Confident communicator with excellent presentation and stakeholder skills
  • Experience with ISO accreditation, audits, risk assessments, and policy development

Desirable:

  • Chartered or Technician Member of IOSH / IEMA (or equivalent)
  • Proven track record in leadership roles influencing cross-functional teams
