An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an accomplished and highly driven Head of Business / General Manager to lead a flagship used car dealership in the Cannock area.
Representing a business that caters to the full market - offering every make, model, and brand - this is a senior leadership position for an experienced automotive professional who thrives on challenge, drives performance, and inspires excellence at every level.
This site plays a pivotal role within the group and offers genuine scope to influence strategy, shape culture, and deliver outstanding commercial success.
As Head of Business, you will have full P&L responsibility and overall accountability for the dealership's strategic direction, performance, and profitability.
You will lead a large, established team - over 30 sales professionals - ensuring delivery of exceptional results in used car retailing, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
You'll also work closely with service and aftersales to maintain standards across all departments, ensuring a cohesive, customer-focused operation.
The dealership operates extended opening hours, typically until 9:00 pm, to meet customer demand.
The role will involve a mixture of weekdays and weekends on a rota basis, usually 4 to 5 long days per week.
Weekend working remains essential due to peak trading periods, with one weekend off every 5-6 weeks (plus your normal rest days that week).
Flexibility may be offered for the right candidate, recognising the senior nature of this position and the importance of achieving a healthy work-life balance.
Initial in-house training may involve travel to other sites (accommodation and mileage fully covered).
