Job summary

X4 Technology in Cambridge is seeking an Electronics Engineer for an Outside IR35 contract, starting in August 2026. You will work in a collaborative R&D environment on high-reliability, safety-critical electronics that can have life-saving impact.

You'll contribute across the full product development lifecycle from concept through prototyping, verification and release, predominantly onsite in Cambridge with some home-working flexibility.

Qualifications

• Experience with embedded microcontroller-based systems.
• Prototyping, testing and debugging experience.
• EMC and safety-critical environments are beneficial.
• Experience across the full product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop electronics for high-reliability, safety-critical systems.

Cambridge — predominantly onsite, with some home-working flexibility

Start: August 2026 for an initial 6-month duration
