MWH Treatment are looking to strengthen our SHEQ team with a Senior H&S Advisor project based within the UU region. You will advise the SHEQ team at a senior level and work across sites to drive best-in-class performance.
Strong knowledge of CDM and UK HSE directives is essential, with a NEBOSH Diploma and IOSH membership preferred. You will contribute to audits, investigations, and policy implementation.

You will report directly to the SHEQ Framework Manager and your role will cover advising the SHEQ team at MWH at a Senior level.
Key responsibilities will include:
Essential:Ability to travel to all sites in regionExtensive experience in the Construction sectorDetailed knowledge of current and pending HSE Directives for health and safetyDetailed knowledge of current statutory health and safety law in the UKDetailed knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM)Detailed knowledge of good practice in construction, e.g. HSE guidance and approved codes of practice.Knowledge and experience of OHSAS 45001 (or similar management systems)Formal qualification in Occupational Safety and Health, e.g. NEBOSH diploma or better.Membership of recognise H&S Institution to an appropriate levelConstruction-related health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH Construction.Desirable:Experience in the water sectorCurrent full driving licenceAbility to collect, analyse and evaluate large volumes of data whilst maintaining data integrity.Ability to identify trends in data and clearly articulate the issue or findings.Proven experience of working as part of a SHEQ team.Ability to interpret legislation and Approved codes of Practise.Good organisational and time management skills.Ability to work both as a team member and under own initiative.Good communicator who's comfortable engaging at all levels within the organisation as you will be advising the team at a senior level.Confidence to make decisions whilst recognising when appropriate to escape issues or concerns.Good Microsoft Office skills especially Visio, Excel and PowerPoint.CSCS cardCertified or Charted membership of IOSH
