Job summary

Swansea Gynaecological Oncology Centre (SGOC) at Singleton Hospital seeks a substantive Consultant in Gynaecological Oncology. Based in Swansea with some duties at other Health Board sites, this 10-session post includes on-call commitments.

Applicants must be GMC registered, live within ~30 minutes of the base, and hold FRCOG or an equivalent qualification. The post offers leadership in clinical development, teaching, audit and research within a Welsh NHS centre.

Qualifications

• Fully registered with the GMC and licensed to practice.
• FRCOG or equivalent specialist qualification in OBGYN.
• On Specialist Register with GMC or eligible for CCT within 6 months of interview and have passed exit exam.
• Certificate of completion of sub-specialty training in Gynaecological-oncology.
• Higher degree (MD/PhD) or publications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop services within the Swansea Gynaecological Oncology Centre (SGOC).
• Engage in multi-disciplinary team activities and audit.
• Contribute to teaching, research, and improvements in patient care.
• Manage on-call commitments as part of the consultant role.
