Job summary

Michael Page Finance is recruiting for a globally operating Engineering Group with its HQ in Derby. The role is for a Qualified Accountant to lead group FP&A, consolidation, forecasting and IFRS reporting across international entities.

You will provide clear financial analysis, challenge stakeholders, and support governance improvements while delivering robust controls. Derby-based with hybrid working and clear career progression.

Qualifications

• Be a professionally qualified accountant with at least 5 years PQE in group accounting or FP&A.
• Experience with consolidation, international business and IFRS.
• Provide financial analysis and insight to drive performance improvements.

Responsibilities

• Support in-year performance management, budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning for the Group.
• Provide clear financial analysis and insight to articulate performance and identify interventions.
• Produce summaries/presentations for executive reports.
• Undertake consolidation, modelling, scenario and sensitivity analysis.
• Drive quality and integrity of forecasts and governance frameworks.
• Manage stakeholders by defining and influencing requirements and deliverables.
• Constructively challenge stakeholders to identify opportunities and improve submissions.
• Support system/process improvements and reporting initiatives.

Job Description

• Supporting in-year performance management, budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial planning cycles for the Group
• Providing clear financial analysis and insight to articulate financial performance and identify performance intervention opportunities
• Producing written summaries/ presentations for reference in executive reports
• Undertaking consolidation, modelling, scenario and sensitivity analysis
• Driving the quality and integrity of analysis, forecasts, plans and explanations provided - ensuring robust financial controls, processes, and governance frameworks are in place and consistently applied
• Managing stakeholders by proactively defining and influencing requirements and deliverables
• Constructively challenging stakeholders in identifying performance opportunities, improving insight and driving integrity of submissions
• Supporting improvement projects across systems, processes and reporting in driving the above

The Successful Applicant

You will be a technically strong, Qualified accountant with 5 years plus PQE, working in Group accounting or FP&A with complex, international businesses
