Job summary

Whitbread PLC is seeking a Senior Finance Manager – Group FP&A to shape the Group's financial narrative, lead planning, performance reporting and analysis, and partner with senior stakeholders across Finance and Investor Relations. You will oversee a four-person team and contribute to board-level discussions.

The role requires a recognised accounting qualification and 5+ years post-qualification experience, with strong commercial acumen and leadership capabilities in a multi-site

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent and 5+ years post-qualification experience.
• Strong financial reporting, planning and analytical expertise.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate effectively.
• Proven leadership and ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in multi-site retail, hospitality or consumer-focused businesses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Group's performance reporting agenda, delivering monthly financial and non-financial reporting, insights and commentary to the Executive Committee and Board.
• Own key external reporting activities, supporting trading updates, half-year and full-year reporting through robust data validation, controls and governance processes.
• Drive performance insight and challenge, tracking cost efficiency programmes, business performance and key strategic metrics, highlighting risks, opportunities and actions.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team, coaching a team of four to deliver accurate, timely and impactful reporting while fostering continuous improvement.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across Finance and the wider business, providing commercial analysis, market insight and recommendations that support strategic decision-making and business growth.
