Astute Financial seeks a Senior Group Accounting specialist to drive IFRS group accounting across international entities and oversee month-end close routines, with emphasis on corporate tax coordination and transfer pricing matters.

This senior role combines hands-on accounting execution with tax oversight, requiring strong analytical, structured work style and experience with intercompany transactions and AI-enabled finance tools where relevant.

Qualifications

• Experience in IFRS and corporate income tax is desirable.
• Exposure to transfer pricing and intercompany transactions is preferred.
• Structured, analytical, hands-on working style required.
• Professional accounting qualification is preferred but relevant experience counts.

Responsibilities

• Support IFRS closing activities with focus on consolidation, accounting, revenue recognition, and tax matters.
• Execute and manage comprehensive month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, local finance partners, and internal group stakeholders.
• Support international sites with accounting and finance-related matters.
• Review intercompany transactions, reconciliations and related documentation from an accounting and tax perspective.
• Support AI-related development and implementation activities within the finance function where relevant to accounting, reporting, and data quality.
• Review and validate material project accruals, provisions, manual journal entries, and foreign currency valuations.

This is a senior role requiring both tax oversight and hands-on operational accounting execution.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Support IFRS closing activities with particular focus on consolidation, accounting, revenue recognition, and tax matters.
• Execute and manage comprehensive month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, local finance partners, and internal group stakeholders.
• Support international sites with accounting and finance-related matters.
• Review intercompany transactions, reconciliations and related documentation from an accounting and tax perspective.
• Support AI-related development and implementation activities within the finance function where relevant to accounting, reporting, and data quality.
• Review and validate material project accruals, provisions, manual journal entries, and foreign currency valuations.

Required Qualifications and Aptitudes:

• Experience is key – skilled in accounting (IFRS) and Corporate Income Tax knowledge desirable.
• Exposure to corporate tax matters and the ability to work with external tax advisors; transfer pricing, intercompany transactions, or group-related finance topics desirable.
• Structured, reliable, analytical, and hands-on working style.
• Professional accounting qualification preferred but strong exposure to relevant experience is key.
• Reliable interface between accounting and corporate income tax matters.
• Knowledge of / exposure to international group accounting or international tax / accounting structures.
• Interested in AI-supported finance tools, digital finance applications or finance data initiatives is a plus.
