Qualifications

  • Previous experience in grounds maintenance or as a Greenkeeper.
  • A full valid UK driving licence is essential.
  • Fine Turf (Level 3) and PA1 & PA6 certifications are required.
  • Experience with ride-on mowers and tractors is advantageous.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Overview

Senior Greenkeeper
Location: Leamington Spa, reporting to our Warwick depot
Hourly Rate: £13.89 plus bonus payments for events
Contract type: Full time, permanent
Working hours: 40 hour working week, times vary dependent on client requirements however usually between 07:30-16:00 + occasional early hours weekend work (with advance notice provided)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Greenkeeper to join our team and tend grounds for the prestigious Royal Leamington Spa Bowls Club. You will lead in keeping the greens & sporting areas in wonderful condition through turf management, pesticide spraying, litter picking and any other related horticultural duties. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled horticulturalist to have their efforts be a part of televised competitions & events, gain valuable experience and grow with us in a friendly and encouraging environment!

Responsibilities
  • Lead in keeping the greens & sporting areas in wonderful condition through turf management, pesticide spraying, litter picking and any other related horticultural duties.
  • Work to maintain high standards of presentation and safety for clients and events.
  • Collaborate with team members and attend meetings as required.

  • Highly motivated with flexible working & understanding of maintaining to the highest standards.
  • Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with the client & attend meetings when required.
