What we are looking for:

We are looking for a talented and creative Senior Graphic Designer to join our Marketing & Communications team for a one‑year contract starting in February 2026.

In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll use your strong design, typographic and visualisation skills to help deliver ACT’s marketing strategy, strengthen our brand and produce engaging design solutions across a wide range of print and digital platforms.

You will lead on the design of materials such as brochures, flyers, signage, exhibition stands, presentations and staff/learner resources, while mentoring and supporting our Content & Design Assistant. You will also contribute to developing and maintaining ACT’s digital presence, including our website, intranet and other online platforms.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a designer with at least three years’ experience and a strong portfolio to grow their skills within a friendly, professional and values‑driven environment.

Role details: Hybrid with a 3/2 split (3 office days and 2 homeworking).

ACT is committed to promoting the Welsh language for both staff and learners; while it is not essential, the ability to speak Welsh is desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce creative and high‑quality design work that promotes ACT’s brand and supports our marketing strategy.
  • Deliver design solutions across print and digital platforms using Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Present design concepts to the Head of Marketing & Communications for approval.
  • Mentor and support the Content & Design Assistant.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure all staff and learner resources are on brand.
  • Manage multiple projects to tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Contribute ideas and creativity to team brainstorming sessions.
  • Uphold ACT’s brand identity and ensure a consistent visual style across all materials.
  • Support the wider marketing team in delivering strategic goals.
  • Adhere to GDPR, environmental and sustainability practices.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.

Person Specification

Experience

  • Knowledge & experience of design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).
  • Creative eye for design and attention to detail.

Qualifications & Knowledge

  • Degree in Graphics Design or related field.
  • Good written communication skills with an ability to write engaging content.
  • Organised and able to manage multiple tasks to deadlines.
