Job summary

NHFT is recruiting General Practitioners (up to 6 sessions a week) to work at HMP North Sea Camp, near Boston, Lincolnshire. This Cat D open prison offers rehabilitation opportunities with access to a wide range of specialists through a polyclinic model.

You will provide physical healthcare equivalent to community practice, working with mental health, substance misuse, dentistry, physiotherapy and more. A trauma-informed approach is central, with protected CPD time and potential hybrid working.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the GMC as a General Practitioner.
• Must be on the NHS Performers' List.
• Experience working with vulnerable populations and substance misuse.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical healthcare equivalent to community practice within a prison polyclinic.
• Work autonomously to defined competencies with governance support.
• Potential cross-cover for GP colleagues at other Lincolnshire prison sites.
• Typical week includes clinics, patient reviews, team meetings, admin and CPD time.
