We are building a unified and mutually supportive team of people who are beauty and wellbeing‑obsessed, consumer focused and driven by a passion for winning. Our role is to add value to our brands, deliver tangible beauty benefits through our products, create desire, and pioneer trends. With more than 1 billion people using our products every day, we have an opportunity to use our scale for good. We’re embracing a new era of beauty and wellbeing – one that’s inclusive, equitable, regenerative, positive so that people and the planet can thrive together.

Job Purpose

The Global B&W Strategy & Operations team is a small, high‑impact group that partners directly with the Global B&W CMO and leadership team to drive outstanding multi‑year performance.

The team’s remit spans three interconnected pillars:

Deliver – Facilitate the monthly innovation cycle and global category operations. Plan – Lead annual business planning and develop strategic communications. Shape – Define multi‑year strategic choices across portfolio, geography, channel, and operating model to secure sustainable growth.

This role, reporting to the Global Strategy Director, will take primary responsibility for the Shape pillar.

Key Responsibilities
1. Lead strategic development across portfolio, channel and operating models
  • Work with cross‑functional partners to address critical mid‑ to long‑term business questions—ranging from portfolio and channel strategy to competitive analysis and capability building.
  • Typical challenges might include: “How do we premiumise our haircare portfolio?” or “What will it take to double our share in social commerce?”
  • Partner with colleagues globally—e.g. Consumer & Market Insights for data mining and market sizing, and Finance for business case development.
  • Form and lead small, agile squads to support analytical work and insight generation.
  • Translate complex data and insights into clear, persuasive executive presentations for the CMO, CFO and CEO, influencing strategic and resource‑allocation decisions.
2. Support the annual business planning process and strategic reviews
  • Working closely with the rest of the Strategy & Operations team you’ll support on Pillar 2: “Plan”. You’ll contribute to the construction and communication of the annual business plan, ensuring alignment with long‑term strategic priorities.
  • Develop sharp, compelling presentations and strategic narratives for a wide range of senior stakeholders.
  • Participate in market and brand strategy workshops, quickly grasping business dynamics across geographies and categories to sharpen strategic choices.
  • Prepare for the delivery of total category strategy reviews, where plans and ambitions are challenged and refined by senior leadership.
About You
  • You have a genuine passion for the beauty industry and a deep curiosity about consumers and competitors.
  • You are ambitious, growth‑oriented, and externally focused, with a bias for action and results.
  • You thrive in collaborative, fast‑paced, and ambiguous environments, balancing rigour with pragmatism.
  • You are flexible – ready to pivot to pursue the high‑impact activities.
  • A natural relationship‑builder, you can bring together diverse teams to deliver time‑sensitive projects.
  • You demonstrate the ability to assert hypotheses, develop data‑backed recommendations, and communicate insights through well‑structured, executive‑ready reports.
  • Comfortable engaging at C‑suite level, you have the presence and clarity to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Highly proficient in Excel (data modelling) and PowerPoint (executive storytelling).
  • You are equally adept at connecting big‑picture strategy with its practical implications, maintaining a keen eye for detail.
  • You likely have significant experience in top‑tier strategy consulting.
  • Experience within the beauty industry or in brand management is advantageous.
