Job summary

KPMG is seeking a senior operational leader for the Global Cyber Security Incident Response Team. You will direct major incident responses, coordinate across legal, privacy, risk, and communications, and drive improvements in governance, automation and AI-enabled investigations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable leadership of complex cyber security incidents, including incident command and cross-functional coordination.
• Experience leading an incident response or SOC or cyber defence function, with evidence of developing people and improving team capability.
• Experience advising senior stakeholders across information security, technology, legal, privacy, risk, compliance and corporate communications during major incidents.
• Strong knowledge of cyber defence operations and incident response, including EDR, SIEM and case management platforms.
• Evidence of improving security operations through governance, automation, orchestration or AI-enabled investigation and response.
• Strong analytical, decision-making and stakeholder management skills under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead major and crisis-level cyber security incident response with clear command and timely escalation.
• Provide support to the IR Team Lead, representing the function in strategic priorities.
• Coordinate technical, legal, privacy, risk, communications and operations stakeholders for global incident response.
• Strengthen governance, reporting and service quality for incident response.
• Drive capability improvements via automation, orchestration and AI-enabled investigations.
• Build trusted relationships across KPMG member firms for consistency and collaboration.
• Guide and influence UK and US incident response teams and promote best practices.
• Coach and mentor team members to foster an inclusive, high-performing environment.
