Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Senior Geoscientist in Oxford to join a specialist geoscience consultancy. The roleun covers geoscience and geophysical projects across onshore, intertidal and offshore environments with a strong emphasis on data interpretation and reporting.

You will lead survey planning, data acquisition and processing while collaborating with geophysical, geospatial and remote-sensing teams in a multidisciplinary Oxford office. Salary ranges £35,000–£48,000.

Qualifications

• Experience in geoscience, geophysics, geology or surveying.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to undertake fieldwork and technical reporting.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Geoscientist to join an independent, specialist geoscience consultancy delivering innovative solutions across geoconsulting, remote sensing and advanced survey services. The business works across onshore, intertidal and offshore environments, providing bespoke technical solutions to a diverse client base.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Geoscientist to take a senior position within a technically focused and collaborative team, contributing to varied and challenging projects.

The Role

As a Senior Geoscientist, you will lead and contribute to geoscience and geophysical projects, from survey planning and data acquisition through to data processing, interpretation and technical reporting. You will work with geophysical, geospatial and remote-sensing datasets, supporting ground models and geological or geohazard assessments while helping develop innovative project solutions.

Requirements

The successful Senior Geoscientist will have strong experience in geoscience, geophysics, geology or surveying, alongside excellent technical and project skills.

You must also:

• Hold a full UK driving licence
• Have full right to work in the UK
• Live in or near Oxford
• Be comfortable undertaking fieldwork and technical reporting
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently and take technical ownership
