Job summary

Klohn Crippen Berger Ltd. (KCB) is seeking a Senior Geochemist to support our mining and environmental consulting services. You will join the EMIE Group and contribute to high quality project delivery through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across North America, Europe and beyond.

You will conduct geochemical analyses of soil, rock and water, develop predictive models, advise clients on waste management and remediation, and mentor junior staff while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Science, or Environmental Geoscience; specialization in Geochemistry preferred.
• 10+ years' experience related to geochemical analysis.
• Professional registration (e.g., P.Geo., P.Eng.).

Responsibilities

• Conduct geochemical analyses of soil, rock, and water samples to assess environmental impact and mining risks.
• Provide technical advice on geochemistry for mining projects including waste management and remediation.
• Develop and implement geochemical models to predict long-term trends and mitigation effectiveness.
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists to design monitoring programs and remediation strategies.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and regulatory submissions for clients and authorities.
• Mentor junior staff and pursue opportunities to grow KCB's mining geochemistry business.
