Job summary

SR2 Consulting | Certified B Corporation™ seeks an experienced GCP Cloud Engineer to support a government cloud transformation programme in London. The role blends hands-on platform engineering with technical assessment to ensure a scalable, secure environment ready for delivery.

You will assess an enterprise GCP estate, validate the landing-zone architecture, and develop PoCs across governance, security and automation, plus design reusable IaC patterns with Terraform.

Qualifications

• Experience engineering enterprise-scale Google Cloud environments.
• Knowledge of GCP organisation administration, folders and policies.
• Hands-on with IAM, audit logging and Security Command Center.
• Advanced Terraform and Infrastructure as Code capability.
• Experience with landing zones and project vending approaches.

Responsibilities

• Assess the existing GCP estate, IAM, security controls and platform config.
• Validate landing zone, org hierarchy and governance against best practice.
• Identify risks, dependencies and mitigations for delivery.
• Develop PoCs for landing-zone and automated project vending.
• Design and test IaC patterns using Terraform and Google Cloud Fabric.
• Evaluate CI/CD approaches and delivery workflows with GitHub Actions.
• Review audit logging and security controls, document findings and recommendations.
