Job summary

The Woburn Hotel is seeking a Senior Gardener to support the Head Gardener in leading the care, conservation and development of the historic Woburn Abbey Gardens. This role requires extensive horticultural knowledge, especially trees and arboriculture, and the ability to work across the gardens, woodland and landscapes.

CS30 chainsaw certification is essential, and you should be prepared for weekend work. 30 days annual leave, estate discounts, and on-site parking are among the benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Extensive horticultural experience with trees and arboriculture.
• Experience in heritage garden management preferred.
• CS30 chainsaw certificate is essential.

Help Shape the Next Chapter of One of Britain’s Great Historic Gardens

Woburn Abbey Gardens is seeking a Senior Gardener to support the Head Gardener in leading the care, conservation and future development of one of Britain’s most significant historic gardens.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced horticultural professional with knowledge of trees and arboriculture to play a key leadership role within an ambitious team dedicated to horticultural excellence, heritage conservation and continuous improvement.

Working across the historic gardens, woodland, avenues, specimen trees and wider landscape, you will help ensure the Woburn Abbey garden continues to set the benchmark for the management of historic gardens and landscapes.

Previous experience in horticulture and/or growing at home, along with a CS30 chainsaw certificate is essential.
