Job summary

CGLA is seeking an experienced Garden Designer to join our Penn, Buckinghamshire studio. You will manage projects from concept through costing and delivery, working hands-on with clients and internal teams.

The role requires 5–8 years in garden design or landscape architecture, a relevant qualification, and strong SketchUp/AutoCAD skills. Office-based, with 9–5.30 hours and annual leave provided.

Qualifications

• Around 5–8 years’ relevant professional experience in garden design or landscape architecture.
• A formal qualification in Garden Design, Landscape Architecture or related discipline.
• Strong creative, spatial and planting design skills.
• Sound understanding of landscape construction, materials and detailing.

Responsibilities

• Develop projects from initial brief and site appraisal through concept, detailed and technical design.
• Produce high-quality drawings, planting designs and client presentations.
• Attend client meetings, site visits and design presentations.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants and contractors.
• Work with the Estimator and build team to develop project costs.
• Manage workload across several live projects.
