Job Description

The Senior Fundraising Coordinator will play an important role within the Partnerships department, working together with the Director of Partnerships, Head of Fundraising, and the Corporate Partnerships Manager to deliver our multi-year fundraising strategy and enable significant organisational growth. The wider department also includes roles across communications, sales, trusts and foundations, and university partnerships, with whom you will collaborate directly.

This role will report to the Corporate Partnerships Manager and focus on a portfolio of Corporate Partners, within an agile team with multiple streams of work. You will also have opportunities to contribute to trusts and foundations, major donors and individual giving as part of a joined-up fundraising approach.

Responsibilities
Income Generation
  • Contribute to income targets for the Corporate Partnerships Team.
  • Support the development and submission of compelling funding proposals and pitches.
  • Deliver and prepare prospect research to maintain an accurate and up-to-date business development pipeline.
  • Carry out due diligence on businesses and create meeting briefings for senior colleagues.
Stewardship and Reporting
  • Support the excellent relationship management of existing partners, including tailored communications, timely reporting and updates on volunteering activities.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of all corporate events and activities, such as our World of Work events.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to provide partners with meaningful volunteering experiences and impact updates.
Cross-Team Working
  • Work with colleagues across Partnerships, Communications, and Programme Delivery to maximise funding opportunities and ensure excellent stewardship.
  • Collaborate with the Impact Team to ensure accurate and timely partner reporting.
  • Support the Finance Team with invoicing and income tracking.
Compliance and Systems
  • Ensure all fundraising activity is compliant with the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice, The Access Project’s Fundraising Policy and GDPR.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the CRM system and The Access Project’s internal drive.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of fundraising systems, processes, and ways of working.
Role Requirements
Essential
  • Commitment to the mission of The Access Project and tackling educational inequality.

  • Experience supporting or securing 5 and 6-figure grants, ideally from corporate partners.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, persuasive proposals and impact reports.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and deliver compelling pitches.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with donors and stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, with experience of managing multiple deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the UK fundraising environment.
Desirable
  • Experience working within the education or youth sectors.
  • Familiarity with fundraising databases (e.g. Salesforce) and CRM best practice.
  • Knowledge of trends incorporate giving.
