Job summary

Ocorian in Belfast is seeking a technically strong Senior Accountant to join our growing Fund Services team. You will take ownership of complex accounting and reporting deliverables, and build relationships with clients, auditors and advisers.

Working as a senior member of the team, you will mentor junior colleagues, contribute to process improvements, and help maintain high service standards across portfolios in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Solid and pragmatic accounting skills and technical accounting knowledge.
• Excellent presentational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of management accounts, financial statements and investor reporting with accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage client, auditor, and adviser relationships as the go-to accounting contact.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
• Develop efficient processes, controls, and high service standards while overseeing fund accounting activities.
• Mentor juniors and share knowledge to foster a high-performing team.

Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a technically strong and client-focused Senior Accountant to join our growing Fund Services team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of investment structures, take ownership of complex accounting and reporting deliverables, and build strong relationships with clients, auditors and advisers.

Working as a senior member of the team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial reporting, supporting junior colleagues and contributing to the continued success and growth of the business.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of management accounts, financial statements and investor reporting, ensuring accuracy, quality and timely delivery.
• Manage relationships with clients, auditors and advisers, acting as a trusted point of contact for accounting and reporting matters.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements and internal policies across your portfolio.
• Support the development of efficient processes, strong controls and high service standards while overseeing key fund accounting activities.
