Job summary

SoCode Limited in Cambridge is seeking an experienced Senior Fullstack Engineer to own features from concept through delivery in a climate-tech spinout with University backing.

You’ll work in a small, fast-moving team, delivering end-to-end solutions with TypeScript, React and Node.js on AWS, in a hybrid setup (3 days/week in Cambridge) with a strong emphasis on ownership and impact.

Real-world impact on cutting emissions and costs will be a core part of this role.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of full-stack software development experience.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript, React and Node.js.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-based architectures.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools and evaluating outputs.
• Demonstrated ownership of features from design to production.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end from ideation to production.
• Influence the product roadmap and technical direction in a small team.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and QA to ensure robust delivery.

I'm working with a Cambridge deep-tech in the climate space - and they're after a genuinely strong Senior Fullstack Engineer. It's a University of Cambridge spinout whose software helps globally recognised businesses actually cut their supply-chain emissions and costs - not just measure and report them. They work with a number of globally recognised brands and recently closed a $5M seed round.

This is a hands-on senior role in a small, sharp team - you'll own features end-to-end and have real influence over how the product evolves.

What they're looking for:

• 7+ years' experience, strong across the full stack
• Deep in TypeScript, React and Node.js (AWS a plus)
• Fluent with AI coding tools - and able to critically judge what they output
• A builder who wants ownership

The details:

• Hybrid - 3 days/week in the Cambridge office
• £70k–£90k
