Job summary

Wave Works is seeking two hands-on Senior Fullstack Node.js engineers to join an established delivery team building a new business-critical operations platform. You will focus on the platform’s foundations, ensuring robustness, testing, and scalability.

Responsibilities include adding automated test coverage, refining the data model, and improving a legacy system while collaborating with a broad team responsible for product builds and integrations. Immediate availability is required.

Qualifications

• Deep Node.js experience and strong TypeScript/Node background.
• Cloud experience with GCP (Firebase and Firestore) preferred; AWS/Azure acceptable.
• Immediate availability to start.
• Comfort with AI-assisted development using Claude Code for UI work.
• Proven track record of improving existing codebases, not just building new ones.

Responsibilities

• Add automated test coverage across the codebase.
• Improve and refactor the data model.
• Fix and improve an existing system that needs remediation.
• Collaborate with the wider team covering product build and integrations.
