In this role, you will own the full data stack from ingestion through to analytics, building and maintaining scalable pipelines across API, streaming, and batch processes. You will manage cloud infrastructure on AWS with a DevOps mindset, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and scaling. Working closely with engineering and product teams, you will deliver data solutions for analytics, internal tools, and AI models, while establishing and maintaining best practices for data governance, security, and reliability.

What You\'ll Do

  • Take full ownership of the engineering stack — backend, frontend, and infrastructure — and help scale it from MVP to a global product.
  • Shape architecture, choose the right tools, and set engineering standards as the company grows.
  • Work directly with users to gather feedback, iterate fast, and deliver meaningful improvements.
  • Collaborate with the founding team on product direction, technical strategy, and team development.
  • Build, ship, and refine high-quality features that directly support conservation and sustainability.

What They\u2019re Looking For

  • 5+ years of backend experience with Go, including API design, microservices, and database systems like PostgreSQL.
  • Solid frontend skills with React/Next.js, TypeScript.
  • Experience building scalable, reliable SaaS products that are cleanly architected and maintainable.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS, CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, and DevOps best practices.
  • A thoughtful approach to system design, balancing performance, scalability, and simplicity.
  • Someone who thrives in fast-moving, early-stage environments and enjoys solving deep technical challenges.
  • A great collaborator who values teamwork, communication, and shared mission.

What\'s on offer

£80-95k + meaningful Equity • 1-2 days p/w in a central London office • Collaborative culture with a focus on D&I.
