AVEVA in the UK is seeking Senior Software/Full-stack Engineers to design, develop, and scale AI-enabled platform services with strong backend (.NET C#) and Angular frontend skills.

You will own features from design to production, mentor juniors, review code, and collaborate across global R&D teams to deliver secure, reliable APIs and SDKs while thriving in Agile environments. The hybrid work setup supports collaboration and innovation across offices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience across the full stack with cloud-native backend development.
• Strong experience with Angular frontend and RESTful API design.
• Hands-on containerised deployments in Kubernetes and modern web frameworks.

Job description

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant cloud-native services on Microsoft Azure.
• Develop and maintain clean, responsive web user interfaces and developer tools using Angular to complement core AI platform services and public APIs.
• Develop secure, well-documented public APIs and SDKs for consumption by internal engineering teams and external partners.
• Drive feature implementation from design to production, taking ownership of code quality, performance, and system reliability.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions across data pipelines, orchestration layers, and service APIs.
• Embed robust security controls, identity management, and privacy-by-design practices across all AI services.
• Actively contribute to design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions to champion engineering best practices.
• Support and mentor junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• 5-8+ years of software engineering experience across the full stack, with strong expertise in cloud-native backend development (.NET C# a plus) and modern web frameworks (Angular).
• Hands-on experience with containerised deployments in Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of RESTful API design, versioning, testing, and full lifecycle management.
• Strong knowledge of securing APIs (OAuth2, OIDC, RBAC) and implementing data privacy best practices.
• Proficiency in using modern AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to accelerate daily engineering workflows.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with a track record of analysing complex technical challenges and delivering scalable solutions.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams across distributed global R&D locations.
• Proven ability to mentor colleagues and elevate team code quality.

Hybrid working
