Job summary

Flagstone is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help forge a new path in financial technology within the UK. You will deliver high-quality systems, participate in architecture decisions, and collaborate across teams to solve complex business problems.

You will work in a Microsoft-centric stack (C#, .NET, Azure) on cloud-native solutions, with a focus on scalable, testable code and modern development practices. You’ll mentor junior engineers and champion engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial development experience with C#/.NET/.NET Core.
• Front-end experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML and React.
• Strong understanding of SOLID, EDA and DDD.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs.
• Azure cloud development and cloud-first approach.
• Proficient in SQL.
• Strong TDD practices with NUnit, Microsoft TestFramework, SpecFlow or Selenium.
• Excellent communication and collaborative mindset.
• Ability to coach and guide junior engineers.

You’re a Senior Full Stack Engineer, ideally with 7+ years’ experience, who’s excited to forge a new way to save. You’ll have delivered on large scale projects of work, and will be excited about producing and maintaining high quality systems, including system design and architecture. You work in partnership with relevant teams across an organisation to identify how technology can solve business challenges and will be capable of answering “how and why” technology is designed and delivered.

What you’ll do:

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will play an active role in an Agile software team, fostering best practice and automation to ensure software quality. As a subject matter expert in your domain, and through working collaboratively, you will get to work on new features and deliver a high quality, resilient product. You will always look to help improve the software engineering processes and practices, and to influence the software architecture, as well as acting as a real team player who is approachable and a positive role model.

What you’ll bring:

We are a Microsoft shop, so our core language is C# and our platform is entirely in the cloud on Azure. We’d love to see experience in a combination of the below:

• Ideally over 7 years commercial development experience with C# / .Net / .Net Core

• Front end coding ability with JavaScript, CSS, HTML and React

• A good understanding of SOLID principles, Event Driven Architecture (EDA) and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

• Experience of RESTful API design

• Experience of Azure cloud development, and a cloud-first approach

• SQL skills

• A good foundation in Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies, demonstrating proficiency in writing and maintaining test cases using one or more of the following libraries: NUnit, Microsoft.TestFramework, SpecFlow and Selenium

• Emotional intelligence. You actively listen and provide thoughtful solutions

• Proactivity and the ability to demonstrate initiative positively and collaboratively

• Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Ability and enthusiasm to coach and guide junior engineers
