As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer at Informed Solutions, you'll lead the design, build, and delivery of complex digital solutions for the public sector. You’ll own end‑to‑end delivery on greenfield projects, mentor colleagues, and shape enterprise‑scale digital solutions for high‑profile clients.
Responsibilities
- Own delivery of services: responsibility for engineering and delivery of small‑to‑medium services or major components of larger services across the full lifecycle.
- Lead on architecture and design: ownership of end‑to‑end design of components or services, produce and maintain documentation, collaborate with Lead and Principal Engineers and practitioners from disciplines such as UCD and Data Science.
- Support delivery planning: partner with Delivery Managers to plan and structure technical activities, provide accurate and commercially sound estimates, identify and mitigate technical risks.
- Build stakeholder trust: act as a trusted technical advisor to client counterparts, partner organisations and third parties.
- Mentor and develop others: provide guidance and technical leadership to colleagues.
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in a Full Stack Engineering role with advanced skills in .NET, Java or Python, plus modern JavaScript libraries.
- Experience taking ownership of delivery for services or significant components across the full lifecycle from design to operation.
- Strong understanding of architectural and design patterns, including serverless and microservices.
- Experience working in Agile environments, using Scrum, Kanban and TDD, and contributing to delivery planning and estimation.
- Experience mentoring and supporting less experienced engineers, providing guidance.
- Proven experience engaging with clients, taking ownership of technical decisions and delivery outcomes.
- Hands‑on expertise with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), delivering scalable, secure and well‑architected solutions.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and/or Terraform.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working in a consultancy environment, engaging with external stakeholders and clients.
- Exposure to public sector projects and delivering solutions in complex organisational landscapes.
