Job summary

Luxoft is building reusable platform capabilities and data products that help quantitative researchers discover, access, and consume data across a complex landscape, accelerating prototypes to production.

You will collaborate with business teams, analysts, and architects; work with developers, designers, and IT peers; contribute to design and code reviews, API design, and unit testing, while pushing for scalable, maintainable software.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong backend development experience with Python.
• Front-end development experience (React preferred).
• Production API design & delivery (FastAPI preferred), including versioning and documentation.
• Cloud experience (AWS preferred) beyond core compute/storage/DB.
• Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Debugging & problem-solving skills with ownership across the SDLC.
• Experience applying modern agentic approaches to software engineering.
• Hands-on with Claude Code, VS Code + Copilot, and building or using reusable AI skills.
• Agent-first repositories - build agent-ready repos with context, skills, conventions & evals baked in.

Build reusable platform capabilities and data products that let quantitative researchers discover, access, and consume data across a complex, disparate landscape, and then accelerate the good prototypes to production.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with business team, business analysts, and architects and be able to quickly understand the new requirements and helps to identify the changes to the system.
• Work closely on a day-to-day basis with development team, designers, copy writers and other IT teams.
• The role develops and presents recommendations from analysis of current solution. Assist in design peer reviews, code peer reviews, build and unit test functional enhancements. Identify areas for code refactoring. Review and contribute to development process and procedures to assist in the continual improvement of the development team activities.
• Be able to offer solutions and designs to solve process, project or program issues; provides recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness. Defends a recommendation and can confidently support it.
• Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate with business and technical audiences and produce design documents suitable for multiple audience types, both client-facing and internal- Must be able to exhibit technical thought leadership and excellent problem solving ability, with an aptitude for technical innovation.
