Job summary

Keylane UK is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to help build and improve SiteView, a digital claims platform. You will work across front-end and back-end with React, Java/J2EE, Maven, jOOQ and MySQL, in a Docker and AWS-influenced environment. You’ll investigate issues, optimize performance and write secure, maintainable code.

You’ll collaborate with a small team of experienced developers to deliver scalable SaaS software for insurers, with hybrid/remote options in the UK.

Qualifications

• You have at least five years of relevant development experience across front end and back end with the listed stack or a comparable one.
• You have hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, JavaScript, React and MySQL, alongside familiarity with Maven and jOOQ.
• You have experience using Docker and a solid understanding of networking.
• You enjoy investigating problems and developing sustainable solutions with quality and security in mind.
• You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to help us build and improve SiteView using React, Java and AWS. If you enjoy working across front-end and back-end development, solving technical challenges and collaborating with an experienced team, we’d like to meet you!

Key about your role

As a Full Stack Developer at Keylane UK, you help develop SiteView, our digital claims platform. SiteView enables insurers to automate workflows, manage digital site visits and connect customers, claims teams and suppliers throughout the claims process. Your work helps make that experience easier to manage and follow. Keylane

You contribute throughout the development lifecycle, from prototyping and developing new features to testing and deployment. On the front end, you work with JavaScript, React, Redux Saga, HTML and CSS. On the back end, you use Java/J2EE, Maven, jOOQ and MySQL, with Docker and AWS forming part of the wider development environment.

Alongside building new functionality, you improve what is already there. You investigate application issues, resolve bugs and identify performance bottlenecks. You follow sound development practices and take responsibility for writing code that is secure, maintainable and reliable.

You work closely with fellow developers and colleagues across the business to understand requirements and translate them into practical solutions. Whether you are exploring a new feature or troubleshooting an existing one, you combine technical curiosity with attention to detail.

Key about your team

You join a small team of experienced developers working on SiteView. Together, you build secure, scalable SaaS software for enterprise customers.

Collaboration is an important part of the role. You discuss technical challenges, share knowledge and work with colleagues from other departments. You are comfortable progressing your own work independently, while knowing when to involve others and work through a problem together.

About Keylane Property & Casualty

Keylane develops SaaS platforms that help insurers modernise their operations and improve the service they provide to customers. Our Property & Casualty portfolio includes Axon and SiteView, bringing together core insurance software and digital claims capabilities. SiteView works alongside existing core systems, helping insurers improve their claims processes without replacing their entire technology landscape.

• You have at least five years of relevant development experience, working across the front end and back end with this technology stack or a comparable one;
• You have hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, JavaScript, React and MySQL, alongside familiarity with Maven and jOOQ;
• You have experience using Docker and a solid understanding of networking;
• You enjoy investigating problems and developing sustainable solutions. You work carefully, take initiative and pay attention to the quality of what you deliver;
• You communicate clearly, build good working relationships and collaborate effectively with people from different backgrounds. You are comfortable working independently and learning new tools and technologies;
• You have a degree in computer science, mathematics or another technical subject, or equivalent practical experience or qualifications.

You must have the right to work in the UK.

It’s a plus if you have experience with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, SES or SWF; React Native; Jenkins; Python; or Bash. Familiarity with GitHub, IntelliJ and macOS is also useful.

Using AI

• You have practical experience using AI-assisted development tools, such as Claude, OpenAI tools, GitHub Copilot or Cursor, in professional work or your own projects. You can explain how you have applied them to activities such as understanding code, developing features, writing tests or troubleshooting;
• You understand where these tools can support the development process and where human judgement is essential. You provide clear requirements and context, and recognise when an output needs further investigation;
• You critically assess, test and debug AI-generated code and suggestions. You remain responsible for the correctness, security and maintainability of everything you deliver.
