Job summary

InvestEngine, a London-based fintech, seeks a Senior Frontend Engineer for its Pensions Team. You will own pension web journeys end-to-end, collaborate with Product, Design and Backend, and shape API contracts while driving frontend architecture in a large codebase.

You will build complex multi-step forms, implement tests, and release features behind flags. This role offers remote-first work and mentorship to the next frontend engineer, with a strong emphasis on ownership and innovation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years using React and TypeScript in large codebases.
• Experience with state managers like Effector or Redux.
• Strong REST API integration skills with error handling.
• Experience shaping API contracts with backend engineers.
• Experience building complex multi-step forms.
• Unit or component testing with Jest or RTL.
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards.
• Ownership and ability to drive features to production.
• Fluent English and Russian communication.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain customer-facing pension journeys in React and TypeScript.
• Own features from refinement to production, shipping web in the same sprint as backend.
• Agree API contracts, states and error handling with backend engineers and designers.
• Build complex, multi-step forms for account opening, transfers and declarations.
• Write unit and component tests, and release safely behind feature flags.
• Monitor features in production and fix issues quickly.
• Work in a large, long-lived codebase and follow our frontend architecture.
• Onboard the next frontend engineer and mentor juniors.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, Operations and the wider frontend group.
