Job summary

VirtueTech Recruitment Group is seeking a Senior Front Office Engineer to join a hedge fund operating across energy, commodities, equities and more. You will build a Greenfield trading system with React front end and C# back end, closely aligned with the trading desk and architecture team.

You will design, code and test modern web applications, contribute to overall architecture, and deploy scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years plus proven experience designing and building event-driven user interfaces.
• 6+ years plus proven experience designing and building back-end services and processes in C# and React.
• Experience with web frameworks such as TypeScript.
• Experience with SQL Server/MongoDB/Postgres SQL or equivalents.
• Experience with modern CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Agile and scrum development methodologies.
• Methodical approach to software architecture and design and experience employing the right design choices for a given project.
• Experience leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of a Greenfield trading system.
• Collaborate with trading desk to translate requirements into robust software components.
• Contribute to architecture and deployment of technology used by front and back office.
