Job summary

Orbis Group in London is seeking a Director – Front Office Quant Engineering to own and shape a key front-office platform for the Fixed Income desk. You will work closely with traders and a local developer and a US-based quant team, influencing the platform's future direction.

You will oversee quantitative development supporting the Fixed Income trading desk, enhance pricing models, and drive automation while collaborating with global teams to ensure consistency with broader trading strategies.

Qualifications

• Strong quantitative development experience with front-office markets knowledge.
• Experience in Fixed Income pricing and modelling.
• Credit market exposure is valuable; rates, macro also considered.

Responsibilities

• Take senior ownership of the London capability for the front-office platform.
• Develop and enhance pricing and modelling capabilities.
• Work with traders to translate business problems into quantitative solutions.
• Increase automation across pricing and trading workflows.
• Provide technical direction and align London capability with the global platform.
• Collaborate with global Quant and Trading teams to ensure cohesive direction.
