Job summary

Burns Sheehan Ltd is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join an AI-native product company in London. You will own end-to-end development across frontend and backend, shaping scalable product experiences for enterprise customers using TypeScript, Python and modern frameworks.

You will work directly with leadership, take ownership from problem identification to production, and contribute to building AI-powered features while navigating a small, high-calibre team and a hybrid office model

• Built and shipped customer-facing products on frontend and backend.
• Strong experience with modern frontend frameworks (React/Vue/Angular).
• Backend/API and relational database experience (Python preferred).

I'm working with one of the most exciting early-stage AI companies I've come across, and they're looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join their growing engineering team.

They're building an AI adoption platform that helps large organisations turn AI from something employees experiment with into something that genuinely changes how they work.

They've already achieved:

• £1m+ ARR
• 15,000+ users
• Enterprise deployments with organisations including PwC and the Ministry of Justice
• Recently raised their Seed round from leading UK investors
• Now expanding into the US

For a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, the technical appeal is significant.

This isn't about building another thin wrapper around an LLM.

You will be taking rapidly evolving AI capabilities and figuring out how to turn them into reliable, scalable product experiences used by real enterprise customers.

The engineering team is deliberately small and high-calibre, meaning you'll have genuine ownership rather than picking up fully defined tickets.

What could you be building?

Recent and upcoming engineering challenges include:

• Building LLM evaluation infrastructure to properly measure models, prompts and multi-stage AI workflows.
• Developing AI-powered skills assessments using real-time and multimodal models.
• Building increasingly sophisticated personalisation and recommendation systems using individual, team and organisational context.
• Working through complex data modelling, privacy and permissions challenges as personalisation becomes deeper.
• Evolving a modular monolith and background processing architecture as the platform scales beyond its current user base.
• Experimenting with emerging AI capabilities and deciding what is genuinely production-ready versus what is simply hype.

What makes the Senior Full-Stack Engineer role different?

You will work directly with the CTO, Director of Engineering, Product and Design and be involved from the point a problem is identified.

You will help decide what should be built, how it should work and how it should be architected, then own it through development, deployment and production.

They're looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer who:

• Has built and shipped substantial customer-facing products across frontend and backend.
• Can make strong architectural and technical trade-offs without over-engineering.
• Enjoys working closely with Product and Design rather than receiving finished specifications.
• Has strong experience with a modern frontend framework such as React, Vue or Angular.
• Has strong backend/API and relational database experience. Python is preferred, but the exact stack isn't the deciding factor.
• Is genuinely AI-native in how they engineer, going beyond basic code completion and using AI to improve how they build, test, evaluate and ship software.

£80k-£120k + equity, with only 1 day per week in their central London office.
