Morela is proud to support a fast-growing UK AI company building sovereign AI for defence and government. The role focuses on deploying, integrating and accrediting a GCP-native platform across environments—from Kubernetes/OpenShift to air-gapped networks—while engaging senior MOD stakeholders.

The candidate will own the technical relationship with defence customers, driving delivery end-to-end and contributing code where needed, with a pragmatic high-ownership mindset.

Qualifications

• Active DV clearance.
• Hands-on in architecting and scaling complex products.
• Strong GCP, Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical workshops and discussions with MOD, engineering and security stakeholders.
• Own delivery end-to-end from requirements to deployment and handover.
• Adapt GCP architecture to customer infrastructures including air-gapped environments.
• Integrate platform with customer data sources and APIs.
• Own test strategy and accreditation documentation.
• Lead technical assurance including architecture reviews and threat modelling.
• Write production code when needed and relay field insights to engineering.
