Job summary

Briggs Equipment in Lisburn is seeking a skilled Forklift Driver Instructor/Trainer to develop and deliver training programs for staff, apprentices, and customers. The role requires maintaining up‑to‑date product knowledge and ensuring compliance with government safety standards.

You will design training areas, supervise sessions, and collaborate with Sales, Truckcare and Service Staff to communicate effective courses and certifications across the business.

Qualifications

• Accredited instructor ideally within a recognised training body, i.e AITT, RTITB, ITSSAR or IPAF certified
• Good attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and confident in the classroom environment
• Forklift, powered access, and general product knowledge
• Experience of working in a fast paced, dynamic business

Responsibilities

• Developing and delivering forklift, powered access and general plant driver training courses to Briggs staff, apprentices, and customers.
• Developing and communicating training courses to customers working closely with Sales, Truckcare and Service Staff.
• Supervising all training courses to maintain safety of all involved to maximise learning.
• Maintaining up-to-date product knowledge.
• Keeping all training courses current with latest government safety standards and polices/procedures.
• Designing, building, and maintaining appropriate training areas.
• Working with Managers to ensure required staff have the correct and current certificates to meet legal obligations.
