Job summary

HR GO Recruitment is partnering with an established FMCG manufacturer to appoint a Production & Raw Materials Planning Manager in North Yorkshire. You will own planning, lead a planners team and ensure schedules and material plans meet customer demand and capacity.

You will collaborate with Commercial, Operations, Procurement and Supply Chain to improve forecasting, inventory and S&OP, while influencing decisions at senior levels. Strong analytical and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in FMCG manufacturing environments.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Knowledge of production scheduling and MRP concepts.
• Data-driven decision making and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of planners to deliver accurate production schedules.
• Translate sales forecasts into production and material plans.
• Balance service levels with inventory, capacity and cost.
• Manage inbound material schedules and supplier relationships.
• Collaborate with Commercial/S&OP for better forecasting and planning.
• Align demand and supply across multiple sites with stakeholders.
• Monitor KPIs such as forecast accuracy and stock performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and systems.
• Support budget preparation and cost-control initiatives.
• Build relationships with site leadership for continuous improvement.
