Job Title: Principal Flood Risk Consultant

My Client, a specialist UK-based Environmental Consultancy focusing on Hydrology, Ecology, and Environmental Management, is seeking a Principal Flood Risk Consultant to join their friendly and supportive team in Surbiton.

Candidate Requirements:

• Strong academic background in Hydrology, Environmental Management, and Civil Engineering.
• Experience in Hydrology, Flood Risk, and Modelling.
• Experience mentoring junior team members or preparing bids and tenders is beneficial.

Working Arrangements:

Expected to work from the office 4 days a week.

Responsibilities:

• Train and mentor staff.
• Prepare bids and tenders.
• Check and complete various Hydrological, Surface Water, Flood Risk, and Drainage Projects for Private Sector Clients, Local Authorities, and Water Companies.

Key Tasks:

• Flood Risk Assessments for Planning Applications.
• Flood Estimation using FEH and Winfap.
• Water Framework Directive Assessments.
• Water Quality Assessments.
• Nutrient Neutrality Assessments.
• Hydrological Assessments.
• Surface Water Management Plans and Catchment Management Plans.
• Hydraulic Modelling using Flood Modeller Pro and Tuflow.
• Drainage Strategies.
