Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Associate Flood Risk Consultant in Leeds to lead a varied portfolio of flood risk and drainage projects, support clients through planning, and guide junior colleagues. The role focuses on delivering FRAs, drainage strategies, and modelling work while growing the team and driving business opportunities.

Ideal candidates have senior/associate level flood risk experience, UK policy knowledge, and the ability to mentor others and manage client relationships

Qualifications

• Senior/Associate level flood risk consultancy experience.
• Experience with Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies.
• Knowledge of UK flood risk policy and guidance.
• Ability to manage projects and develop client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies.
• Oversee surface water and flood risk modelling and drainage design.
• Provide technical advice on flood risk, SuDS and planning requirements.
• Manage budgets, programmes and client relationships.
• Liaise with Environment Agency, local authorities and developers.
• Review reports and guide junior team members.
• Support business development and identify new opportunities.
• Help develop the team and support growth.
