Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Senior Flood Modeller to join a growing Water and Environment team in Bristol. You will lead complex flood risk assessments and hydraulic modelling projects, guiding a team of engineers and liaising with clients and regulators.

The role requires a degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field, strong 1D/2D modelling skills (TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, HEC-RAS, InfoWorks ICM), and a track record of delivering high-quality technical reports.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Environmental Eng, Hydrology, Geography or related field.
• Significant flood risk/hydraulic modelling experience.
• Strong 1D/2D hydraulic modelling proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex flood risk assessments and hydraulic modelling projects.
• Develop and review 1D/2D hydraulic models using TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, HEC-RAS, InfoWorks ICM.
• Prepare Flood Risk Assessments, technical reports and planning documentation.
• Manage budgets, programmes, resources and ensure technical quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and support business growth.
