Energy Jobline ZR in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a Senior Hydrologist / Flood Modeller to join a specialist consultancy. You will deliver flood risk and hydrology advice on residential, commercial and infrastructure schemes across the UK, guiding projects from concept to completion with strong client liaison.

The role offers hybrid working flexibility, exposure to varied projects, and the chance to mentor junior team members while maintaining high professional standards.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or a related subject.
• Experience as a Senior Hydrologist / Flood Modeller within a consultancy.
• Strong background in FRAs, SuDS and hydrology reporting.
• Proficiency with Flood Modeller, TuFLOW, HEC-RAS, FEH or WINFAP-FEH.
• Chartered status, or progress toward Chartership.
• Strong communication, report writing and leadership skills.

Aufgaben

• Prepare Flood Risk Assessments, drainage strategies and EIA chapters.
• Support concept and detailed drainage design across development schemes.
• Deliver hydrological and hydraulic modelling for flood risk studies.
• Advise clients on flood policy, SuDS design and water management.
• Manage project programmes, budgets and client communication.
• Provide mentoring and technical support to junior team members.
• Maintain awareness of current standards, legislation and best practice.
