Job summary

AALTO, a global leader in Stratospace, is seeking a Senior Flight Physics Engineer in Farnborough to shape performance, stability and safe operation of the Zephyr HAPS platform. You will work across aerodynamics, flight dynamics, and control laws in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

You will lead technical delivery, develop flight physics models in MATLAB/Simulink, analyze flight tests, and collaborate with software, avionics and systems teams to deliver certifiable solutions and support

Qualifications

• Degree or Master’s in aerospace or closely related field.
• Extensive experience in flight dynamics, stability and control in safety-critical environments.
• Strong understanding of flight control laws and GNC concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level technical contribution across flight physics and control.
• Develop & refine flight control laws and GNC architectures for high-altitude flight.
• Plan and analyse flight tests, validate models, and support test campaigns.
