About Amodo

We are a Sheffield based start‑up providing expert engineering consultancy to a variety of clients and industries. We primarily focus on engineered product design, and work in a range of industries and contexts from quantum computing and biotech to heavy industry and animal welfare. About You

• Extremely strong background in embedded software development
• Strong experience writing and deploying production firmware for microprocessors
• FPGA experience
• Excellent grasp of programming best practice
• 5+ years experience post‑qualification, experience in senior engineering roles
• Experienced and enthusiastic in using LLM tools to speed up workflows (e.g. Claude code)
• Experience with electromechanical systems, control loops and kinematics
• Strong understanding of electronics design and manufacture
