The Fire Safety Advisor – Capital Projects will be a dedicated resource within the Fire Safety Team with a specific focus to Capital Projects and will therefore play a key role in ensuring that all new builds, refurbishments, and upgrades in the hospital comply with fire safety regulations and standards, including those outlined in the Building Regulations, Building safety Regulations and guidance within HTM 05-01, HTM 05-02, and HTM 05-03. The role will focus on ensuring that both active and passive fire safety systems are implemented and upgraded in line with legal requirements, RIBA stages, and fire safety best practices. The Fire Safety Advisor will be responsible for correlating fire safety control upgrades through a systematic process of costing, prioritisation, and securing approval, ensuring fire safety is embedded in all capital projects across the hospital.
