Job summary

SoftwareOne is looking for a Principal FinOps Consultant to maximise the value of cloud investments for enterprise clients. You will lead strategic engagements, translate complex spend data into actionable insights, and shape FinOps capabilities across client organisations.

You will collaborate with engineering and finance teams, mentor colleagues, and contribute to the growth of our FinOps practice through innovation and client success.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated FinOps expertise within complex enterprise cloud environments.
• Solid knowledge of cloud vendor commercial models, contracts, licensing, and financial management across Azure and AWS.
• Analytical mindset with experience using reporting and visualisation tools to translate data into insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to influence decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic FinOps engagements, facilitating workshops and presenting recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
• Assess cloud spend, identify cost drivers, and deliver actionable optimisation strategies.
• Analyse cloud consumption and financial data to uncover insights and drive savings opportunities.
• Develop and mature clients' FinOps capabilities, operating models, governance frameworks, and cloud financial management practices.
• Build trusted client relationships and manage complex engagements.
