Job summary

Accenture UK & Ireland is seeking a Financial Services Cybersecurity Emerging Technology Analyst. You’ll work with seasoned professionals to identify risks and strengthen cyber resilience for banks, insurers and financial institutions.

You’ll engage with AI, CTEM, quantum computing, cloud security and other cutting-edge topics, helping clients navigate advancing threats while developing senior-level expertise in a dynamic, global team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cyber security, CS, IT, engineering, maths, business or related field.
• Experience in cyber security, technology risk, IT audit, technology consulting or related discipline.
• Demonstrated interest in cyber security and emerging technologies.
• Understanding of risk management, defence-in-depth, IAM, and secure-by-design concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to assess information, identify patterns, and communicate findings clearly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and security concepts.
• Experience using AI-enabled tools to improve productivity, analysis, or problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Support cyber security, technology risk, and resilience assessments for financial services clients.
• Assist in identifying cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging risks across technology environments.
• Contribute to cyber risk assessments, control reviews, and security maturity assessments.
• Support CTEM activities, including exposure identification, prioritisation, and remediation tracking.
• Research emerging technologies and their security implications, including AI, quantum computing, cloud technologies, and automation.
• Assist in the analysis of cyber threat intelligence and industry trends to identify relevant risks and opportunities.
• Support operational resilience and cyber resilience initiatives, including scenario testing and tabletop exercises.
• Help develop presentations, reports, and recommendations for technical and business stakeholders.
• Contribute to security governance, compliance, and regulatory assessments within financial services environments.
• Support third-party and supply chain security reviews.
• Collaborate with cyber security consultants, architects, data scientists, risk specialists, and client teams on complex transformation programmes.
• Develop expertise in industry frameworks, regulatory requirements, and cyber security best practices.
