Job summary

Ofwat is seeking two Financial Resilience Analysts at Senior Associate level to join the Financial Resilience Team within the Delivery Directorate. Based in Birmingham or London with hybrid working, you will monitor the financial performance of water sector companies and support policy and process development to enhance resilience across the sector.

You will use your accounting experience to analyse financial data, challenge robustness of reporting, and collaborate with multiple workstreams to

Qualifications

Qualification in accountancy or corporate finance or equivalent experience.
Experience analysing and challenging financial information to determine position.
Understanding of financial reporting standards and corporate structures.
Ability to develop and use financial indicators to monitor performance.
Excellent written and verbal communication for non-technical audiences.
Ability to work flexibly to tight timescales and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

Monitor financial performance and resilience of companies we regulate.
Develop policy and processes for demonstrating resilience and regulatory approaches.
Identify issues with financial reporting and license compliance.
Support other workstreams and priority areas, including price review deliveries.
